In the second round of elections for the position of rector of Lviv Polytechnic University, Doctor of Technical Sciences Natalia Shakhovska won.
46-year-old Natalia Shakhovska received 55% of the votes, ZAXID.NET reports .

Natalia’s competitor in the second round of elections, which the scientist bypassed, was 47-year-old Nazar Podolchak, Doctor of Economics and Professor.
In her election program, the scientist, in particular, proposes changes in university management, which include decentralization of management, thanks to which departments and institutes will receive more autonomy in decision-making and budget allocation, which will increase work efficiency.
Natalia Shakhovska was born in Lviv. In 2000, she graduated with honors from the National University of Lviv Polytechnic with a master’s degree in «Intelligent Decision Support Systems» and has remained at the university to this day. Shakhovska has many scientific works in the field of information systems and networks, and is also the founder of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems and the Director of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies.
Natalia also manages the Hub «Internet of Things Laboratory (HULIT)», which is part of the network of European hub accelerators, and is the head of two Erasmus K2 programs and two DAAD projects.
Shakhovska, together with Podolchak, founded the NGO Tech Start Up School. In 2015, the scientist ran for city council from the Samopomich party.
