According to DOU 4522 questionnaires were collected in the wave, and all amounts are indicated «net» after taxes. Among the middles, the median increased by $100 and is $2500. Among specialists at the Principal level, there was also a plus: +$133 to $6333. In contrast, Senior SE lost $200 (median $4500), Junior — $30 (to $900), Intern/Trainee — $76 (to $300). Salaries for management roles also decreased: Team Lead — minus $160 to $5140, Technical Lead — minus $50 to $5500. The biggest drop among the mentioned titles was in System Architect: -$400, median $6500.
There are also noticeable changes by experience. In the group with 6-9 years of experience, median salaries decreased by $150-300 compared to the previous wave. At the same time, in the oldest group of 15+ years, the indicator did not change and remained at the level of $5,000.
Separately, DOU notes changes by city. Kyiv remained in first place, but the figure decreased slightly to $3,700. Lviv remained almost unchanged at $3,505. At the same time, Cherkasy (up to $3,700), Uzhhorod (up to $3,250) and Lutsk (up to $3,050) increased. The top ten cities with the highest median salaries now include five from western Ukraine: Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod, Chernivtsi and Lutsk. The report also states that the salaries of Ukrainian developers abroad are decreasing in all titles.
In terms of programming languages, the highest median salary is maintained by developers working with Scala ($6,500), followed by Rust ($5,250) and Ruby ($4,500). The highest values of the «upper bar» (third quartile) are among specialists working with Ruby, Go and Kotlin. DOU promised to publish the survey data in CSV format on GitHub.
