The Ministry of Defense allowed the issuance of a deferment to Reserve+ for military conscripts with parents with disabilities
Conscripts whose father or mother has a disability of group I or II can now apply for a deferment from mobilization completely online in the Reserve+ application. The decision was made as part of expanding the list of digital services for conscripts.
Conscripts whose father or mother has a disability of group I or II can now apply for a deferment from mobilization completely online in the Reserve+ application. The decision was made as part of expanding the list of digital services for conscripts.
The launch of the new service is stated in a message from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on its official website. According to the agency, those who are the only adult child of a person with a disability and the family has only one parent can receive a deferral. If there are other adult children or both parents, it is currently impossible to submit a request through the application.
The algorithm for processing a deferral is fully automated. The user submits a request to Reserve+, then the system automatically checks the data with state registers. If the information is confirmed, the decision is made without the participation of officials, and a note about the deferral immediately appears in the electronic military registration document. Usually, this takes from several minutes to several hours.
In order for the system to automatically confirm the right to a deferral, there must be up-to-date records of the father’s or mother’s disability in the Unified Social Information System or the Pension Fund register, as well as correct family data in the civil status register. The child’s birth certificate must indicate the registration number of the taxpayer’s registration card of the father or mother with a disability. If the information is outdated, it must be updated in the relevant authorities, and only then submit an application through the application.
The granted deferral is valid repeatedly: it will be automatically extended in accordance with the new procedure, which will be in effect from November 1, 2025. This should reduce the number of repeated applications to the CCC and relieve the burden on human resources services.
Currently, 11 types of online deferrals can be issued through Reserve+. Among them are people with disabilities, temporarily unfit for service, parents of children with disabilities, parents with many children, single mothers and fathers, students, graduate students, and employees of higher and vocational education institutions. The new service for only children of parents with disabilities complements this list and deepens the Ministry of Defense’s course towards digital, transparent, and formalized military registration through Reserve+.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how «Reserve+» has a deferral for parents who are raising a child on their own. Now, fathers and mothers who are raising a child on their own under the age of 18 can get a deferral online if one of the parents has died or lost parental rights.
