As reported by the Ministry of Digital Affairs in its Telegram channel, users were invited to choose the final name for the national LLM through the polls section in «Diya». This is a model that the ministry describes as an «AI brain» for future services designed for millions of users. According to the developers, the system should better understand the Ukrainian context, history, and linguistic features.

The Ministry of Digital Affairs notes that in total, Ukrainians submitted more than 3,000 options, from which a short list was formed. Voting will last until March 29, 12:00, and you can join it directly in the application.
In fact, the state put up for public selection not the technical characteristics of the model, but its public identity. This is a signal that the future LLM is viewed as a mass tool for digital services, and not a highly specialized solution for developers. The name in this case becomes part of communication with users.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs and Kyivstar have begun work on creating a Ukrainian LLM. The idea is to develop a model that will work taking into account the Ukrainian language, dialects, and local context, which should improve the quality of digital services compared to using universal foreign solutions.
