Registration for Teens in AI 2026 has started in Ukraine, where teenagers and students aged 12–18 will create AI projects in teams and present them at a national hackathon. Applications will be accepted until January 20.
According to the Ministry of Digital Affairs , this is the third time Ukraine has joined the global Teens in AI movement, and Ukrainian teams will compete with participants from 101 countries. The organizers expect that participation will help schoolchildren and students gain practice in team development, prepare a pitch in English, and, if they win, represent Ukraine at Global Demo Day.
Participants from state, municipal and private educational institutions are invited to participate in the selection. The basic requirements are as follows: interest in AI, mathematics or computer science, English at level B1 or higher, the team must consist of 5-6 people. Programming skills are welcome, but the organizers emphasize that the key is the idea. If there is no team, you can apply independently. After selection, the participants will be combined into a consolidated group.
Registration takes place through two questionnaires. First, each participant fills out the Ukrainian form, and inside it there is a link to the international questionnaire.

Several stages are planned for the future. From January 26 to 30, Inspiration Week will be held, where participants will receive training materials and advice from international experts. On February 21–22, a national online techathon will be held, where 10 teams will be selected to create and pitch their ideas. The international selection stage will last from April 1 to 17, and the Global Demo Day final is scheduled for April 23.
The Ukrainian selection of Teens in AI 2026 is organized with the participation of Teens in AI and with the support of the Ministry of Digital Economy, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the Lviv IT Cluster. The format of the competition involves teamwork on an AI solution and presentation of the results to the jury at the national and international levels.

The team will then participate in the selection for the international stage of the hackathon.
