As the page states, Serhiy Maksymovych is an IT engineer who voluntarily returned from abroad and was mobilized by the Third Department of the Rivne RTCC SP on December 19, 2022.
He was trained as a platoon commander, having graduated from the military department at the university and being a reserve officer, and in March 2023 he was assigned to the 3rd Jaeger Battalion of the 68th Special Forces Brigade. There, the company commander immediately appointed him his deputy, and six months later, Serhiy Maksimovich headed the 9th Company.
«People here quickly harden. Someone comes as a quiet man, seemingly inconspicuous, and becomes a real warrior here. Any person strives to grow, regardless of the profession, and in the army as well. If a person feels that he can do more, he grows. We see this. And we give him a chance. Because this war is fought by people, not by means,» the serviceman claims.
Captain Serhiy Maksymovych, who has a wife and two daughters, notes that he defends the country for Ukrainian citizens and, above all, fights for his family.
«Now Ukrainians are divided into two categories: those who change history, and those who stand aside. We are fighting for the future. We are now really on the front lines for the freedom of Ukraine. I dream that people who left Ukraine during the war will return,» the Rivne Regional CCC quotes him as saying.
