According to Djinni’s chart, the number of new candidates on the platform fluctuated mostly between 4,100 and 5,800 per month throughout 2025. A notable spike occurred in the summer of 2025, when the number of new registrations reached its local peak of 5,800 professionals.
The lowest activity of seekers was recorded at the beginning of 2026 — which is traditional for this period — when the number of new registrations fell below 4,000 candidates per month.
However, starting from the spring of 2026, the situation changed dramatically, and the growth became systemic. After overcoming the 5,500 mark in May-June, the market demonstrated a confident jump: in August, the number of new registrations exceeded 6,500, and in October the graph reached an absolute maximum - almost 7,850 candidates, which is significantly ahead of the general trend over the past two years.
Marketers held the largest share of new candidates in October, accounting for 11% of all registrations, but the growth rate in this category has already started to slow down. The Support direction showed a real boom, taking second place with 10%: the number of support specialist registrations increased by one and a half times (by 50%) in a month.
Fullstack developers are in third place (8% of the total), showing a 15% monthly growth in registrations. The design direction also showed a similar growth (+15%), sharing fourth place with fullstacks, while JavaScript specialists round out the top five most active search categories.
At the same time, purely front-end developers continue to demonstrate negative dynamics. The number of new registrations of Frontend specialists decreased by 8% per month, and compared to the same period last year, it fell by 30%.
Recall that, according to Djinni, the highest chances of being hired in 2026 are specialists in Data Science, C++, and Python , and among beginners, QA juniors are the most hired.
In addition, according to the results of October, the highest salary expectations among candidates in Ukraine reached $9,000. The list of the most expensive offers of the month included AI specialists, DevOps leads, top developers, and CEOs .
