According to Maksym Palamarenko, director of the software development office of the IT company N-iX, vibecoding increases productivity by 10-20%, but not more, because the generated AI code must be carefully checked, which «eats up» some of the saved time.
«In the longer term, the famous „red queen“ phenomenon comes into play, when AI needs to be implemented not to gain an additional advantage, but simply to keep up with competitors,» noted Maksym Palamarenko of N-iX in a comment for Forbes.
In turn, Volodymyr Kubitsky, AI director of the IT company MacPaw, believes that for complex IT solutions with thousands of lines of code, dependencies, and non-trivial logic, vibecoding will not work.
«It’s always hard to understand someone else’s code,» he says. «And when the code isn’t just written by someone else, but by AI, it’s even harder. At some point, the model starts to get lost in its own contexts and can’t figure out where it’s going wrong.»
At MacPaw, the use of web coding may be expanded to product prototyping, but no further. «We’re not talking about production yet — that’s a different responsibility,» says Kubitsky.
In his opinion, the ability to code with AI will quickly become a basic requirement for most technical positions, but for MacPaw it is not yet a mandatory requirement.
«This is not about hype. This is just the beginning of a new paradigm that will be with us for decades,» notes Kubitsky.
In turn, Head of Experience Engineering at Ciklum, Bohdan Pogasiy, spoke about the practical application of vibecoding in his company.
«One of our Delivery Managers created a tool for monitoring team dynamics. It significantly improved work processes,» Pogasiy shared his experience.
