As reported by «Military», the Ukrainian military recorded the flight of an enemy UAV launched by operators from the DPRK and published a video from its carrier. The General Staff notes that the units trained by the Russians operate from the border, search for positions of the Defense Forces and transmit data to adjust the fire of artillery and missile systems.
It is noted that voice conversations between North Korean operators and Russian army personnel confirm their joint work on the battlefield. According to this data, the crews from the DPRK are not limited to observation: they help adjust fire, in particular, multiple launch rocket systems, on Ukrainian units in the border areas of the Sumy region.
The involvement of foreign FPV operators indicates a shortage of trained personnel in the Russian army and problems with the pace of offensive operations in this direction. FPV drones use a camera «from the pilot’s eyes», which allows you to quickly detect a target and transmit accurate coordinates to calculations. That is why the aggressor is expanding the pool of operators and trying to close the personnel gaps at the expense of allies.
The General Staff emphasizes: the participation of foreign formations in the war against Ukraine is a gross violation of international law and another proof of escalation. All established facts are documented, materials are transferred to international partners and structures for legal assessment, and units involved in the aggression are neutralized in accordance with the laws and rules of warfare.
Earlier, the National Intelligence Service of South Korea reported about 2 thousand dead DPRK soldiers during participation in hostilities on the side of Russia. Last year, Pyongyang and Moscow signed an agreement on military cooperation with a provision on mutual defense; later, ammunition supplies from the DPRK and the wider use of North Korean resources by Russia were recorded. Against this background, Ukraine is accelerating the deployment of electronic warfare, mobile interception groups and launch pad fire control systems to disrupt reconnaissance and correction of enemy fire over border areas.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how, according to one of the sources of Financial Times chief columnist Gideon Rahman, North Korean soldiers, whom the DPRK leader sent to support Russia’s war against Ukraine, are spending time on pornographic websites on the Internet. The US Department of Defense said that they could not yet confirm these reports.
On February 15, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with North Korean ballistic missiles — KN-23, and this is far from the first time. What is known about the DPRK missiles
