German Quantum Systems introduced Sparta FPV drone carrier with a range of 200 km in Ukraine

German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems, which has production facilities in Ukraine, is developing a new Sparta platform for delivering FPV drones over significant distances for the purpose of pinpoint strikes on the enemy.
As Defense Express reports, Sparta made its first flights in July. Its maximum take-off weight is 23 kg, of which 8 kg is for two FPV drones. The combat radius is 200 km, which allows you to deliver drones this distance and return to base. Time in the air: from 6 to 8 hours.
A video posted by Quantum Systems CEO Dave Sharpin shows Sparta dropping FPV drones in flight. Presumably, these are the company’s own models, which are already successfully used by the Ukrainian military. The developer is known primarily for its Vector reconnaissance UAV, but also creates FPV attack drones.
According to the German publication Hartpunkt, serial production of the Sparta is planned to begin by the end of the year. The idea appeared in April, and the first prototype was assembled in June. The platform can be launched from a compact catapult, and production is taking place in Ukraine.
Sparta combines Vector’s technologies: range, stable communication and the ability to strike deep into enemy territory. Quantum Systems aims to create a closed reconnaissance and strike complex: Vector detects the target using a unique acoustic sensor, Sparta delivers ammunition, and FPV drones destroy the object.
This approach makes it possible to significantly reduce the time between detecting and hitting a target, which is especially important in the context of the high-tech war that Ukraine is waging.
Recall that we also recently published an article about how Quantum Systems transferred to Ukraine a new model of the Vector AI drone with artificial intelligence and the Polish WASP acoustic system, capable of detecting enemy artillery shots at a distance of up to 15 km.
