Nova Poshta is testing new generation post machines: the company is preparing lightweight modules, drop-box for business, and the CONVENIQ format

Nova Poshta is preparing to update its post-office network and is launching testing of several new formats at once. The company wants to make receiving parcels more convenient in shopping malls, offices, small stores, and business facilities where it doesn’t always make sense to install a full-fledged branch.
Nova Poshta spoke about the preparations for the pilot in its Telegram channel. It concerns four types of solutions. The first was a lightweight plastic mailbox, designed primarily for installation indoors. It should simplify installation in places with limited space, where it is difficult to place a standard metal structure.
The second format is a modular mailbox made of elements that resemble a construction set. Its cells can be rearranged to accommodate different sizes of shipments: from small packages to larger boxes. This allows the mailbox to be flexibly adapted to the real needs of a specific location.
A separate line has become custom drop-box solutions for business. Such units integrate a scanner and printer, which allows companies to prepare and transfer a large number of shipments without the participation of an operator and without queues at the branch. This can be convenient for offices, warehouses or stores that form dozens and hundreds of parcels every day.
The most «service» format here is CONVENIQ. This is a customer center that combines a post office, a coffee machine, and a refrigerator with snacks in the Grab&Go format. The idea is that a person can pick up a package, get coffee, and a snack at the same time within one small self-service space.
All of these solutions are currently in the preparation stage for testing in Ukrainian cities and villages. If the pilot proves successful, the company will be able to scale new formats across the country and more tightly close the «white spots» on the map where it makes no sense to open a classic branch, but there is a stable demand for delivery.
The development of post offices for Nova Poshta is also a way to reduce operating costs and dependence on renting large premises. Lightweight modules, modular designs, and special business solutions allow for flexible response to changes in demand and to quickly relocate or scale delivery points without complex construction work.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how Nova Poshta confirmed plans to open branches in the USA and Finland, but has not yet announced the exact dates when this will happen.
