As AIN writes, citing information from the fund, the opening of the pre-seed round took place in March.
«In general, the fund’s initial investments start at $25,000, and subsequent funding can reach $100,000 or more, depending on the dynamics of the startup’s development, achievement of key indicators, and its needs for raising capital,» Network.VC Defense evasively noted about the amount of funds, adding that the investment was in a standalone format.
As reported, the fund’s investments will be directed towards the development of the AURA platform and the autonomy AI stack, the creation of new high-performance single-board computers for drones and interceptor drones, as well as the development of swarm interaction technologies and coordination of unmanned systems.
In addition, they plan to use the funds to scale the business, enter international markets, and expand cooperation with potential partners.
Recall that DoD Solution creates embedded artificial intelligence and on-board computing platforms for unmanned systems operating in difficult environments.
The startup is also working on hardware and software that allows drones and robotic systems to navigate in space without GPS and in conditions of enemy electronic warfare.
It is also worth noting that the portfolio of the Network.VC Defense fund already includes more than 27 startups, including SWARMER, Bavovna.AI, Panoptes, Sierra Turbines and others.
In March, Roman Gapachilo, former vice president of talent management at IT company Intellias, announced his intention to head the defense startup DoD Solution. According to YouControl, this company was founded in 2023 by Lviv residents Ivan Oleksiy and Nazar Kravchuk, but Gapachilo himself is among the founders with a 42,5% stake.
