Slack has radically revamped its pricing policy, adding artificial intelligence to every paid plan. The changes also affected its integration with Salesforce: all users of this CRM system now get Slack for free.
This is reported by TechRadar with reference to the company’s official announcements. The Slack Pro plan has remained at its previous price, but artificial intelligence features have been added to it: automatic call notes, conversation summaries, enhanced security capabilities and deeper integration with Salesforce. The Business+ business plan has increased in price by 23% from $12 to $15 per user per month, which the company explains by «significant added value» in the form of workflow generation, translations, AI resumes and new security features.
Slack also introduced a new Enterprise+ plan aimed at large companies, which includes advanced access controls, compliance features, powerful Salesforce integrations, and enterprise-level AI support.
The centerpiece of the updates is the Agentforce AI platform, which Slack is positioning as «the workhorse operating system for the agent era.» The platform already includes 38,000 custom APIs and dozens of AI applications from partners including Adobe, AWS, Cohere, Writer, and Perplexity.
Slack’s integration into the Salesforce ecosystem comes amid both companies' aggressive AI adoption strategies. Salesforce is actively promoting its autonomous AI agents, and Slack is becoming the primary point of interaction between them and end users.
In 2021, Salesforce acquired Slack for $27.7 billion, one of the largest deals in the enterprise software sector. Since then, the companies have gradually stitched together their products, making Slack the hub of communication and collaboration for Salesforce customers.
