The developers of the Ukrainian game SAND promised to improve optimization and server infrastructure after the first public playtest

«We are working on all your suggestions and comments: in our plans for the future, we will rely on them. We promise that the next trip to [planet] Sophia will be even better — thanks to you and your support in the first place», — Hologryph said in a press release.
The developers said they heard from players and acknowledged that SAND needs refinement and optimization, which they are already working on. The studio is already reworking the visual effects to both look and work better, and is working on other ways to optimize the game.

Another issue players complained about was the stability of the servers. Previously, the developers reported that the playtest became temporarily unavailable due to «serious problems» with the server infrastructure. On Friday, it became known that their account on the Microsoft cloud platform was blocked.
«As you know, during Next Fest, our servers went down unexpectedly without any warning from the provider, making the game unavailable. It was a huge disappointment for us, as it was for you. To prevent similar situations in the future, we will change the server provider before the next playtest», — Hologryph promised.
The studio also talked about what functions are being worked on based on feedback from players:
Spawn camping prevention. Tramplers will spawn in separate safe locations that will be difficult for players already on the surface to reach.
Inventory management. There will be new features for orbital inventory management — including the ability to split items before an expedition.
Deleting characters.
New compartments and customization options for tramplers. Among them are stairs and armored turrets.
The developers noted that bug fixes, gameplay balancing and the addition of an anti-cheat system are in the works. They also added that SAND will feature new weapons, red explosive barrels, and a new location with a minefield.
We will remind you that the events of the SAND game, which in Ukraine is often called «the game about Galicians in space», take place in an alternative version of the beginning of the 20th century, where humanity travels between the stars, and space expansion was led by the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The game’s characters come from Galicia, a region of the Austro-Hungarian Empire populated mostly by Ukrainians and Poles. In the early stages of the colonization, the Kaiser promised the Galicians a large part of the planet Sophie, encouraging them to become the main labor force for the construction of the cities that would eventually belong to them.
SAND doesn’t have a release date yet, but it has a Steam page where you can wishlist the game.
