The first artificial intelligence-based functionality has appeared in the state educational ecosystem «Mriya»: a tool that helps teachers quickly collect tests for tests and homework and, if necessary, prompts for checking the results.
According to the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the generator works directly inside Mriya. The teacher selects a topic from the calendar, and the system offers a set of questions. The test can then be edited, changing the answer options or adding your own questions.
To ensure that the questions correspond to the program, the Mriya team digitized over 1,300 textbooks (approximately 300,000 pages from 30 subjects) and took into account the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science and the principles of test taking. Additionally, they applied a «double check»: after generating the questions, they are validated by another AI.
After students complete the tasks, the system analyzes the answers and offers a grade, which the teacher can confirm or change. To reduce cheating during the test, the application has blocked screenshots and text copying.
The tool is currently being tested in 150 schools. Teachers have already created over 4,000 tasks, and the average quality score, according to internal measurements, is 8 out of 10. In the coming months, the pilot is planned to be expanded to 500 more schools, and later open access to all institutions in Mriya. In parallel, the team is preparing the following AI capabilities: an automatic schedule generator and an «educational graph», which should suggest useful content and build individual educational trajectories.
AI in education is often criticized for errors in tasks and «hallucinations» in answers. Therefore, the key issue for any such tool is not speed, but quality and control: who confirms the result and who is responsible for the final content of the tasks in the classroom.
