The new Ukrainian R-34-T UAV, capable of illuminating targets with a laser for high-precision weapons, has received codification according to NATO standards and has been officially approved for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to a press release from the FRDM GROUP company, which developed the drone for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the drone has undergone a full cycle of tests and is ready to operate in combat conditions. Its main task is to provide laser target designation for guided artillery and aviation ammunition.
The R-34-T is capable of significantly increasing the effectiveness of fire damage, particularly at long distances and in difficult conditions where enemy air defenses operate. The drone has protected communication channels, a modular design, and high resistance to electronic warfare. Thanks to this, it can operate in conditions of active electronic countermeasures.
The company notes that the introduction of such technology is a breakthrough in the field of high-precision weapon guidance, as it allows for more accurate use of resources, reduces ammunition consumption, and reduces risks for operators and units.
