«Yesterday, a massive update 1.1 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was released. We have dedicated all this time between the release and the Christmas holidays to improving your gaming experience. We hope that many will find time to start, continue, or even finish their game progress during the holidays», — GSC wrote on their social networks.
According to them, in early 2025 they will talk in more detail about their plans for content for STALKER 2. In addition, a nextgen patch for the console versions of the STALΚ.ER: Legends of the Zone trilogy will be released next year.
«We know you asked us to update the PC versions of the original STALKER trilogy games — we plan to do that as well», — the developers promised.
STALKER Trilogy: Legends of the Zone is an updated edition of the original trilogy of games. The project was originally released for PlayStation and Xbox consoles on March 7, 2024, but is now also available on the Nintendo Switch.
The massive 1.1 patch that was released yesterday for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was 110 GB in size and contained around 1,800 fixes. After installing it, many players started complaining about problems loading their saves, so the developers quickly released a hotfix to fix the issue.
In addition, the annual winter sale has started on Steam, during which S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 received its first 10% discount. With it, the basic edition of the game costs 1259 UAH in the Ukrainian region.
