«ISTAR specialists are the analytical brain of the unit. ISTAR is a system for collecting and processing information that forms an operational picture of the battlefield and helps make critically important decisions. Dispatchers monitor the movements of the enemy and our fighters, analysts collect a holistic picture from this data,» Mirchuk explained.
According to the regiment commander, they are calling developers, data engineers, devops, and OSINT specialists to this team.
In addition, the Lava Regiment has many other combat and staff vacancies that may be of interest to specialists with a technical background and beyond.
«Lava» is a young regiment, actively forming, so there are many logistics, staff, and combat vacancies. We need UAV and NRC operators, engineers, mechanics, financiers, lawyers, logisticians, and clerks. We need fundraisers and project managers, specialists in the regiment’s media — videographers, designers. We really need analysts, IT specialists — specialists for the ISTAR team. We always take into account the candidate’s civilian profession and experience and select a position for the person,» the regiment commander noted.
Of course, one of the most in-demand positions is drone operators of various types.
«Our combat effectiveness directly depends on the number and quality of pilots. We are looking for operators of multi-rotor, FPV, winged drones of various types,» says Volodymyr Mirchuk.
