German drone developer Quantum Systems, which manufactures weapons in Ukraine, has signed a memorandum of understanding on future cooperation with Lithuanian company ADV Defense, which specializes in electronics for drones.

The agreement between the companies was reported by the publication «Military». The memorandum of understanding was signed in Vilnius during the German-Baltic Defense Industry Conference. The document talks about the formation of an industrial partnership in the Baltics — from the production of electronics to the integration of unmanned systems for the needs of Lithuania and the countries of the eastern flank.
Quantum Systems says it wants to combine German drone development expertise with Lithuanian expertise in the production of highly reliable electronics. The company emphasizes that it is not just about individual deliveries, but about creating «mission-proven» unmanned systems that can be mass-produced in the region and quickly adapted to customer requirements.
ADV Defense in Lithuania already produces key components for drones: ESC2 electronic speed controllers, BS1 range switch and FC2 flight controller. ESC2 is capable of continuous operation with a current of up to 50 A, which allows the drone to be equipped with powerful motors and lift heavier payloads — a critical factor for shock platforms and machines that require sharp acceleration.
The BS1 module is responsible for communication and allows switching between three frequency bands — 433, 900 and 2400 MHz. This helps operators select the frequency for a specific task and reduce the risk of interference or jamming. The FC2 flight controller acts as the «brain» of the drone: it is responsible for stability, control and real-time telemetry processing.
In addition to supplying electronics, ADV Defense already offers customers FPV strike drones of various sizes with its own Lithuanian filling. The partnership with Quantum Systems should scale this direction through access to a wider market and integration into complex reconnaissance and strike systems.
As part of the deal, Quantum Systems is building a large electronics manufacturing facility in Lithuania that will double ADV Defense’s capacity, allowing it to increase the production of drone components and strengthen the company’s industrial presence on NATO’s eastern flank.
For Ukraine, this cooperation has not only geopolitical but also practical significance. Quantum Systems already localizes part of the production and service of its drones in Ukraine, working directly for the needs of the Defense Forces. Strengthening the electronic base in Lithuania and developing joint supply chains in the region mean more predictable logistics, faster deliveries of components and less dependence on distant markets in times of war for Ukrainian customers.
