The Rada adopted the law on the Unified Register of Military Personnel: each serviceman will be given an ID number, and data about them will be stored for 75 years

The bill was supported by 254 deputies.

The law provides:

• creation of a Unified State Register of Military Personnel, which will be designed to ensure the collection, storage, and processing of data on military personnel, their families, SBU officials, and intelligence;
• assignment of Military ID — a unique electronic identifier for data automation in the defense sector, obtaining benefits and social services;
• integration of the registry with the electronic health system to simplify the exchange of data on conscripts and reservists;
• the storage period of data in the Register of Military Personnel is 75 years from the date of death of the military personnel;
• Military personnel will be able to access special discounts, loyalty programs, and new services, including through the "Army+" platform.

The procedure for maintaining the Unified State Register of Military Personnel is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The following information is included in the registry data set:

• digitized facial image;
• taxpayer registration card registration number or series and number;
• unique record number in the Unified State Demographic Register (if available);
• marital status and information about family members;
• information about issued military registration documents (if available);
• military service status;
• unique electronic identifier.

The creation of the Register will be financed by foreign donors.
