Separate folders for chats with customers, business calls and search by category: Viber launches new features for small businesses in Ukraine
Rakuten Viber is launching new free features to help small businesses in Ukraine more effectively communicate with customers and promote their services. The updates are part of Viber Business Profiles, launching in Ukraine in the fall of 2024. Business Profiles allow small business owners to maintain their online presence and more effectively engage customers.

Business Profiles allow small business owners to maintain their online presence and more effectively engage customers.
3 new features have been launched:
Customers folder. All customer chats will now be stored in a separate folder. This will allow businesses to easily track inquiries, respond quickly, and sell. Chats started via QR codes, links, or business search will automatically appear in the Customers folder. Other chats can be added manually. All existing customer chats will also be moved to the Customers folder.
Business Calls. Businesses can now allow customers to call them directly on Viber, even if the owner’s phone number is not listed. The feature covers incoming and outgoing voice calls, as well as video calls. To ensure privacy, the business owner’s personal number remains hidden. Only the company name and logo are displayed during the call. This gives businesses a new, secure and efficient channel for communicating with customers.
Categories. Businesses can choose up to two categories for their profile that best describe their products or services. This makes it easier for customers to find businesses and helps companies better present their offerings. Users in Ukraine will see a carousel of suggested categories in the app search to help them find local businesses faster.
As a reminder, business profiles appear in Viber search after being reviewed by the moderation team. People can find businesses by name or category. Search results adapt to the user's location, showing only businesses located in the same country and city. And thanks to the "Local Search" feature, results are refined to the district or area.
“The new features continue our mission: to become a super app for both users and businesses. The updates will help small businesses in Ukraine achieve better business results, simplify attracting new customers and communicating with them,” comments Ofir Eyal, CEO of Rakuten Viber.
