On July 21, the first episode of the narrative RPG The Demons Told Me to Make This Game became available in Early Access on Steam. In it, players take on the role of a disembodied spirit called upon to aid a group of inexperienced exorcists during a demonic invasion of an American town. In this role, you must whisper thoughts, influence decisions, and try to guide the heroes through the demonic chaos.
«The game unfolds in a series of time loops, allowing you to experiment with events, change the consequences, and search for the same time branch in which (almost) everyone survives. One loop is a thousand fatal decisions,» Haunted Dude explains.
The early access features the first two time loops from the game’s history for about 8 hours of gameplay. The developers plan to release five more episodes by 2027, each of which will contain new game mechanics and/or additional hosts to own. The price of the project will increase with each addition.
Currently, in the Ukrainian region of Steam, The Demons Told Me to Make This costs 234 UAH with a release discount of 15%. The game does not yet have a Ukrainian localization, which should appear closer to the end of 2025.
