As the Ministry of Defense reports in its release, military registration documents are now issued exclusively in electronic form. It is the digital document in «Reserve+» that is considered primary, and all subsequent operations with a person’s data are recorded in the registers of the defense department.
You can get a Reserve ID directly in the Reserve+ application. For those who are not always able to show the document from their smartphone, a paper version is provided: you can download and print the PDF yourself or get a printout at the CCC and SP, where the document is generated electronically and immediately issued on paper.
The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the transition to «digital» minimizes the risks of loss, damage or forgery of military registration documents. The electronic certificate is formed based on data from the registry, and all status changes and actions with records have a digital trace. This makes it difficult to illegally put a person on the «wanted list» or other manipulations with their data.
Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development Oksana Ferchuk emphasizes that the document «always with you» reduces the need for paper certificates and queues for renewal of certificates. And Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs Kateryna Chernogorenko adds in her post that the electronic format eliminates the ground for forgeries and groundless interference with data, since each action in the system is confirmed in the register.
The update was made possible by amendments to Resolutions No. 1487 and No. 559, which regulate the procedure for military registration and registration of military registration documents. The government continues to move towards the full digitalization of defense processes: electronic documents, integration of registers, and new services based on «Reserve+» should make the system more transparent for both the state and those liable for military service.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how in 2026, users of the «Reserve+» application will be able to receive notifications when a summons is generated or sent to them. The option is promised to be made voluntary: it will need to be separately enabled in the settings.
