According to the game’s developer, Rockstar Games, the release will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2026.
«We apologize for adding extra time to what we understand has already been a long wait. But these extra months will allow us to complete the game with the level of brilliance you expect and deserve,» the company announced on its official website.
It is worth noting that the game’s release has already been postponed before: initially the release was expected for the fall of this year, and then the company postponed the release date of GTA VI to May 26, 2026.
In May, Rockstar Games instead only showed the second official trailer for GTA VI with a new release date.
At the same time, the cost of developing GTA VI has already exceeded the cost of building the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai.
