In Ternopil, a 14-year-old girl agreed to commit a terrorist attack due to pressure from Russian special services, who blackmailed her with «candid» photos allegedly taken from the minor’s broken phone.
The girl was looking for quick money in the Telegram channel, where the enemy noticed her. To get the girl to cooperate, the attackers threatened that they had supposedly «hacked» her phone. Then, using blackmail, they forced her to prepare a terrorist attack near the local district police department, the Security Service of Ukraine reports .
Threatening to «leak» explicit photos of the minor on the Internet, the girl was given instructions, following which she made an improvised explosive device (IED). The girl then hid it in a backpack and secretly left it under a car parked next to the police administration building.
Russian intelligence officers planned to remotely blow up the SVP to kill their agent and the maximum number of citizens passing by.
Law enforcement officers managed to detect and neutralize the explosives in time and detain the underage perpetrator. The investigation is still ongoing.
The perpetrator is under house arrest and is accused of a completed attempt to commit a terrorist act. She could be sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
