Lviv studio Hologryph announced that its survival cooperative SAND with Ukrainian motifs will be released not only on Steam, but also on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Along with the announcement, the developers unveiled a new trailer that appeared on the PlayStation and Xbox channels on YouTube. SAND pages are already available on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store, where the game can be added to your wishlist.
«SAND is an open-world PVP and PVE shooter. Players travel through the post-apocalyptic dunes of an abandoned planet on huge walkers. Fight other players, explore, scavenge, and find valuable resources in a hostile and ever-changing world», — the game’s description states.
SAND was previously expected to be released in early access on Steam on April 3. However, Hologryph decided to postpone the release and focus on optimization after closed playtests.
dev.ua spoke with the head of the Hologryph studio, Maksym Khrapai, about the development challenges, the release date postponement, gameplay features, and how the team is preparing for the release.
«Based on the results of the playtest, we made a huge list of Quality of Life items. Some solutions that we thought might be interesting for players were actually inconvenient. Something is complicated, something doesn’t work the way players are used to, we need to relearn. There are dozens of such wishes, so we are working on them», — noted Khrapai.
It is currently unknown when exactly SAND will be released, but the developers intend to have it ready by the end of 2025.
