«Do you remember the service замечательное.it (this is the resource ebanoe.it — ed.)? Once you could just write a story about a company — without accounts, without verifications. The only «trick» was that you had to send it via mail, so everyone created fake emails so that the administration wouldn’t de-anonymize it. Then the service was closed. And now, in fact, it’s okay not to leave a review anywhere.
«You have to log in to DOU through LinkedIn and confirm that you actually worked for the company — and this is not about anonymity at all. So we made our own version, only simpler: without mail, without registrations, with categories, ratings and real anonymity,» wrote Principal Software Engineer Stanis N. on LinkedIn.
Developers call the resource a place where the truth is told about work.
«Read anonymous stories about ridiculous interviews, absurd dismissals, and questionable HR practices. Find out the real atmosphere in the company before sending your resume there. Our mission is to make the labor market transparent. Study the company rating based on the experience of job seekers and employees like you,» the project description says.
At the same time, the developers note that the site administration is not responsible for the reliability of user reviews.
So far, reviews have been left about over 30 companies. However, users' attitudes towards the service are mixed.
In the comments to the post of the project author, IT workers are asking to remove Russian from the list of languages, and also doubt the objectivity and reliability of the statements made on the platform, since anyone can leave feedback without being verified in any way.
Users also recalled why the resource with anonymous reviews mentioned by the author was closed. «During the war, a reader asked the administrator if it was time to finally translate the site into Ukrainian. The administrator replied that it made no sense, because most articles are sent in Russian, and hating Russian is like hating Python. Because of this, you can level out the „sparkling humor“ that the resource is teeming with. In the end, one of the readers „put the resource“ and paid for this performance every day, sparing no money. This was actually confirmed by the admin. As for the quality of the site, it was critically questionable. I am an HR, so the site was „on my mind“ 24/7, and if you constantly monitor it, you could see that the quality of the content was falling precipitously with each month, not even a year. It was a site of subjective assessments of offended people. Nothing new, interesting, or useful. They just came to swear and tell how the PM/leader/CEO had insulted them. They’re teenagers, honestly,» HR Oksana Opryshko noted in her comment.
