The startup plans to end 2026 with revenue of about 1 billion UAH and is already preparing to enter the European market.

Hakobyan said this on the air of the YouTube project «Business Breakfast with Volodymyr Fedorin», Forbes Ukraine reports.
Gridwe was launched in 2024. It specializes in the development and production of solutions for gas, water, and electricity metering. The company’s products operate on the basis of NB-IoT Internet of Things technology, and measurement results are sent to users directly in a mobile application. Currently, almost 90% of Gridwe products are purchased by state-owned enterprises, including regional gas companies.
«There is virtually no manufacturer of gas smart meters in Ukraine,» explains Hakobyan, explaining the startup’s success in the local market. According to him, Gridwe is winning competition from foreign suppliers thanks to localized production and lower costs.
Gridwe’s facilities are located in Kyiv on an area of 3,000 m². The company’s conveyor production is equipped with calibration equipment from the German company Inotech Meter Calibration Systems GmbH, and each device undergoes mandatory testing in the startup’s own laboratory. In addition, automation of data collection at the enterprise allows for rapid analysis of information and optimization of production processes.
In 2026, the company has already won tenders worth a total of UAH 792 million: UAH 600 million in the meter segment and another UAH 192 million in the data modem niche. «The year is not over yet. I think we will end it with a turnover of about UAH 1 billion,» added the company’s co-founder.
Gridwe is currently undergoing certification of its products for the EU market, as the developers are confident that they can compete adequately in Europe in the smart meter segment. In the future, the brand plans to scale production and enter related niches of smart solutions for housing and utilities.
