Taras Kytsmey: "A sea of investors are now going to Dubai, and they are investing not in oil, but, in fact, "in sand". Because great conditions have been created." Softserve co-founder told what Ukraine has to offer investors

Co-founder and member of the board of directors of SoftServe, Taras Kytsmey, is convinced that the Ukrainian state must take significant steps to attract foreign investors, as has been done, for example, in Dubai.
Kitsmey said this during the Kyiv International Economic Forum, a dev.ua correspondent reports.
«We need the country to become competitive in terms of attracting foreign direct investment. Look at the best examples — Singapore or Dubai. A lot of investors are now going to Dubai — and not to invest in oil! They are investing, in essence, „in sand“, simply because great conditions have been created for investors to come,» Kitsmey noted.
According to the co-founder of SoftServe, Ukraine could offer foreign investors something like a «first round with zero taxation,» but in his opinion, the state will ultimately lose nothing from this, but, on the contrary, will earn.
«Make the first round with zero taxation — tax the second, third, fourth round. As a result, investors will come to you if the regulation is good, and you will earn by taxing the third, fourth round. That is, there are many very cool solutions, and they can be made, it’s not that difficult,» Taras Kytsmey is convinced.
According to Kitsmey’s estimates, if an investor enters a country and invests a million in its economy, the GDP (gross domestic product — Ed.), in fact, increases by 4 million.
«He invested a million, and this million stayed here, because it was distributed among people. People went to the supermarket, bought products, and the supermarket bought new ones. Money makes four rounds on average per year. And what does this mean? In order to attract external investments, you don’t need to tax them in the first round!», — says the co-founder of SoftServe.
