S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 entered the top 50 Steam sales hits in 2024

«We do not disclose specific revenue figures for the games in each list, but simply group them by category. The games in each category are sorted randomly,» Steam noted.

In total, the service divided games into 4 categories:

• Platinum: 1–12th place.
• Gold: 13th–24th place.
• Silver: 25–50th place.
• Bronze: 51–100th place.

Best selling games on Steam 2024

The lists were generated based on basic data from January 1 to December 15, 2024. The «platinum» games include:

• Apex Legends.
• Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
• Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
• Counter Strike 2.
• PUBG.
• Destiny 2.
• Elden Ring.
• Palworld.
• Black Myth: Wukong.
• Dota 2.
• Baldur’s Gate 3.
• Helldivers 2.

The Ukrainian STALKER 2, which was released on November 20, 2024, was included in the «silver» games, which also included Diablo IV, Red Dead Redemption 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Manor Lords and others.

In addition, the GSC Game World studio project was included in the «Platinum» games in the «New Releases» category. This is where Steam includes releases from 2024 that received the highest revenue within two weeks of release.

The «platinum» list of new products looks like this:

• Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
• Path of Exile 2.
• EA Sports FC 25.
• STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
• Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

STALKER 2 also took silver for peak concurrent online play, with over 120,000 players playing.

Let us remind you that STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has made it to the finals of the annual Steam Awards in three categories. It is competing for the title of «Game of the Year», as well as for the awards for «Most Innovative Gameplay» and «Luxurious Story», which are determined based on the votes of Steam users.
