The Ministry of Education and Science announced the creation of a network of startup schools based on higher education institutions. Which universities have already joined the initiative?
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with the Innovation Development Fund, announced the launch of a network of startup schools — incubators — accelerators. It is aimed at students, researchers, and young entrepreneurs who have ideas for creating science-related startups.

«This initiative is part of a strategic course to transform universities and scientific institutions into active participants in the innovation process and economic recovery of Ukraine,» the Ministry of Education and Science notes.
The Ministry of Education and Science says that the startup schools will provide expert and mentoring support, access to modern infrastructure, tools for attracting financing, and practical opportunities for developing business skills. The network is expected to help attract investors, develop business connections, and create a sustainable innovation infrastructure in the country.

The Ministry of Education and Science is calling on other higher education institutions to join the initiative. To participate in the project, a startup school must be established and operate on the basis of a higher education institution or scientific institution (regardless of the form of ownership and subordination), and its activities must be aimed at supporting and commercializing the results of scientific and technical activities.
At the same time, the higher education institution must not be in the process of liquidation, must not be registered or conduct activities in the Russian Federation or Belarus, and must be financed only from a special fund or other sources permitted by law.
