«We see significant potential in Lviv for the development of product teams, as a strong IT community has been formed here and powerful specialized universities are based. Opening an office will allow us to be closer to local specialists and contribute to the development of product IT,» comments Volodymyr Mnogoletny, co-founder and CEO of Genesis.
As the company told dev.ua, the new office will employ about 100 people, with the number set to grow. It will also house a lecture hall where the company will hold educational events.
Currently, the office is home to product teams from OBRIO (Nebula), Promova, Boosters, HOLYWATER, EverHelp, Lift, VP 6037, talentC, and representatives from Genesis Head Office. The teams will hire specialists based in Lviv to join their local offices.
«During the three years of the Great War, Lviv has become one of the centers of Ukrainian IT. We strive to deepen our connection with the local professional community and expand our educational programs so that more people learn about the opportunities of working on IT products,» says Oleksiy Nishchyk, Chief Growth Officer.
Already in March, Genesis is organizing an Analytics Hackathon in Lviv, which will be another step in strengthening cooperation between the company and the local IT ecosystem.
Before launching the office, the company had already collaborated with Lviv higher education institutions. In particular, with the Ukrainian Catholic University, where the partnership covers joint educational projects and disciplines, as well as with teachers from Lviv National University and Lviv Polytechnic regarding educational programs.
Since 2022, Genesis has been a member of the Lviv IT Cluster.
