«SuperGrok is free for students,» Elon Musk wrote in X in response to Arnault’s tweet.
The founder of IUDEX said that students get SuperGrok for free for 2 months if they sign up with a .edu email address. Users have noticed that the free SuperGrok offer appears to be for US students with .edu email addresses, as stated in the original post. British students typically use .ac.uk emails, and there is no clear evidence that they are included.
Arnault separately added that there are plans to add an «edu equivalent» for other countries, including the UK, and not just for US students.

Recall that SuperGrok is positioned as an improved version of Grok, created for serious users such as students, researchers, and professionals.
In late February, in addition to X Premium Plus, xAI introduced a new subscription called SuperGrok. For around $30 per month or $300 per year, SuperGrok provides access to a standalone version of the Grok app for users who are not subscribed to X Premium.
