A digital assistant, which will soon be integrated into "Diya", will help young people search for grants, internships, exchanges, and affordable housing.

At the “Youth Here” forum, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine presented a new AI assistant called “Izi.” According to the developers, “Izi” is already being tested on a new digital platform and has the following capabilities:

  • Works in popular messengers (Instagram, Facebook, Telegram).

  • Responds to voice requests.

  • Offers personalized suggestions to users based on the platform's database.

You can filter your search by type and direction to quickly find the best opportunities. Available types include: scholarships, grants, project financing, cashback, consulting, loans, internships, and more.

Due to the launch of "IZI" there are not many offers at the moment. As of the morning of August 13, there were about 60. The most opportunities are in the "Social" and "Science" areas.

Testing "IZI" in practice

If you communicate with "IZI" directly in messengers, the chatbot first asks several questions (age, education, presence of your own business, etc.) to form a user profile and select the most suitable opportunities from those available at that moment.

As for understanding voice requests, the virtual assistant's capabilities are better. "IZI" understood the voice message the first time, which it automatically transcribes so that the user can monitor whether the voice-to-text system worked correctly. However, "IZI" refuses to process audio messages longer than 30 seconds and asks to record shorter audio.

If you ask about other possibilities in the same chat, "IZI" can "hallucinate" and mix up all previous requests in memory and give a result based on the user's previous requests.

So far, "EZI" does not immediately understand what is wanted from it and often repeats questions that have already been answered. After 10 minutes of communication with the chat bot, "EZI" managed to give some result on the third try.

Despite the fact that not everything is so easy for IZI at the moment, it is noted that the platform will be constantly updated, and the number of opportunities for young people will increase.

"IZI" is not the first chatbot from the state, the AI assistant "Natalka" is already advising partners integrating "Diya", and in three months of work, the virtual assistant has processed over 1,500 requests, which reduced the workload on managers by 30%.

The Ministry of Digital Affairs emphasizes that the Ukrainian large language model , which is being developed in partnership with Kyivstar, automates many processes in the communication of a citizen with the state, partly due to the ability to create such chatbots as "IZI" and "Natalka" on its basis.
