«I want TikTok to be shut down, it’s a dump,» said Dima Kovalenko in a video interview for Ukrainska Pravda. In his opinion, 90% of the content posted on this social network is «stupid challenges,» often even very dangerous, after which children end up in hospitals.
Dima Kovalenko believes that there are no more than five people who create useful content on TikTok. In particular, he named Andriy Szymanovsky, who popularizes the Ukrainian language on TikTok, and blogger Vlad Shevchenko, with funny sketches about Ukraine.
The meme creator noted that among the popular social networks, Facebook and Instagram are currently very censored. Twitter and Telegram, in his opinion, are probably the freest. «But I don’t understand what the situation is with Telegram,» adds Dima Kovalenko. On the one hand, he agrees that it’s good to abandon everything Russian. On the other hand, he sees Telegram channels in many, even state structures. And this situation adds to the uncertainty.
«There is freedom on Twitter (X — ed. note). But after it was acquired by one controversial character (Elon Musk — ed. note), I don’t want to be there,» the meme author notes.
