According to the Ministry of Defense, a special computer program «Food Service Process Management» (SKP UPPS) has been approved for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The department explains that the tool covers several daily tasks in units at once: accounting for product residues, preparing supply requests, drawing up menus, and generating reports.
The system is to be used by the heads of the food service of military units. These are officials responsible for organizing the nutrition of personnel according to established standards, as well as for correct calculations of menu schedules and timely submission of supply needs.
The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the main practical change is the unification of the approach: previously, menu layouts were often calculated manually or in various auxiliary tools, but now these operations are collected in one solution and performed according to a single standard. The expected effect is faster menu layout compilation, less manual routine, and a lower risk of errors in documents and reports.
The program was developed by servicemen of the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The customer and administrator of the solution is the Logistics Forces Command, and the implementation is coordinated by the Center for Transformation of Defense Resources Management Processes of the Ministry of Defense.
The food service in military units works with the same set of operations every day: accounting for leftovers, planning menus according to standards, requesting deliveries, and reporting. Transferring these tasks into a single digital program allows you to standardize calculations between units, prepare documents for logistics faster, and reduce the number of errors that occur during manual filling and duplication of data.
