Uklon has updated the app to be more accessible and inclusive. What's changed?

After the latest update, the Uklon mobile app has more features for inclusive trips. The company announced this.
In particular, the application added:
- A notification that the passenger receives if the driver has a functional impairment (disability) — in particular, in case of mobility, hearing or speech impairment. This will allow you to better prepare for the trip and make the interaction more comfortable for both parties.
- The new feature allows the driver to indicate one or more types of functional impairments at the same time — for example, if a person has both a hearing impairment and uses a wheelchair.
«We see how our society is changing, and we strive to be a service that supports these changes — with respect, openness, and equal conditions. This update is another step towards a service where every trip is made with understanding and care,» says Roman Petryk, Chief Product Officer of Uklon.
Previously, the Uklon application already included a sign language dictionary, with which passengers can interact with hearing-impaired drivers in basic ways: say hello, thank them, or send simple messages.
Uklon has formed a long-term strategy to create a society of equal opportunities and develop an Inclusive car class. It is within this program that the company is implementing additional updates.
