Ukrainian Inguar converted Inguar-3 armored vehicle into a pickup truck for UAV operators

The Ukrainian company Inguar has made a pickup version of the Inguar-3 armored vehicle for the needs of the NGU unmanned systems units. Instead of a landing module, the vehicle received a cargo compartment for drones and equipment, and some of the combat equipment was removed.
According to Military, the basic Inguar-3 has a modular design with a front armored capsule and a rear armored compartment for landing, but at the request of UAV operators, the rear capsule was replaced with a lightweight tented cargo module. This format allows for quick loading and unloading of drones, as well as transporting oversized equipment that is more difficult to place in a hard trunk.
The design of the cargo compartment was made variable: the customer can choose a version extended by 200 mm. For operators of ground robotic complexes, the module has a retractable side ladder to drive equipment into the body without additional lifts. Another change concerns the armament: in cooperation with the NGU command, it was decided to dismantle the armored machine gun turret, because such vehicles are not currently planned to be used as assault platforms.
After replacing the rear module and removing the turret, the 12-ton Inguar-3, according to the developers, became lighter by about 1.5 tons. The pickup truck exists in a single copy so far, but the company is preparing for mass production at the request of the National Guard.
A little more about Inguar-3
This is an MRAP-class armored vehicle with a declared protection level of 3a/3b according to STANAG 4569. The manufacturer notes that it must withstand 7,62×51 armor-piercing bullets and fragments of 155-mm shells from 60 meters, and mine protection provides for the detonation of a mine with 8 kg of explosives. The design combines steel and modular aluminum elements that can be quickly replaced.
