As reported by «Military», The development has already passed combat tests. Eclipse is designed to intercept enemy UAVs, in particular the Shahed type. The drone is equipped with an electric motor and a high-explosive warhead that hits a target within a radius of up to 7 meters. The maximum speed is 250 km/h.
The key feature of the complex is the Pixel Lock automatic detection and homing system, created together with the French Alta Ares. In the first mode, the operator controls the aircraft manually, while the system simultaneously highlights potential targets and shows the probability of their recognition. Then the object can be fixed, an enlarged image can be obtained for confirmation, and then the drone can be switched to a fully automatic attack mode. The decision to detonate the warhead remains with the operator.
Separately, the developers focused on communication in the rain. The on-board system can switch in the range from 400 to 1200 MHz to avoid interference. For navigation, a network of beacons and triangulation is used, which allows you to determine coordinates regardless of the terrain and maintain control even without stable GPS.
In combat tests, the complex showed a range of up to 40 km and an operating altitude of up to 5,000 meters. According to the company, the farthest target was hit at a distance of 33 km, while the video signal and control remained stable.
Unlike classic FPV interceptors, Eclipse relies on partial autonomy. The operator does not fly the drone all the way manually, but only finds and confirms the target. This reduces the workload on the pilot and allows for more efficient operation on fast targets, especially when it comes to massive drone attacks.
