Ratel Robotics is entering the unmanned aviation segment. The company is launching a separate direction, Ratel Drones, and is preparing a starting series of devices for the front.
According to Defender Media, the first line of Ratel Drones will include three models: an FPV strike drone, a reconnaissance drone and a bomber with dumps. The company says that the new direction is focused on combat and reconnaissance vehicles, created taking into account the real conditions of modern warfare. As in the case of Ratel ground platforms, the developers are betting on endurance, reliability and the ability to operate in a difficult environment.
The FPV attack drone in this line is claimed to have a range of up to 30 km, a flight duration of up to 30 minutes and a payload of up to 3 kg. The reconnaissance aircraft, according to the declared characteristics, should operate for up to 35 minutes, operate at a distance of up to 15 km and receive optics with magnification for observation. Another model is a bomber with a remote-release system, which can carry up to 2 kg of payload and stay in the air for up to half an hour.
Separately, Ratel Robotics emphasizes that all three drones are equipped with satellite communication. Currently, the devices are in the final stage of testing and are undergoing tests in conditions as close to combat as possible. In parallel, the company is conducting the procedures necessary for further codification of the new products.
Thus, Ratel Robotics is expanding its presence in defense tech to another segment, where competition in Ukraine is already very high, but the front-line demand for new solutions remains stable.
