CEO Yakiv Yusypenko and HR Manager Roman Genal launched the startup careeo.tech, whose product is a voice AI agent that automates the pre-selection of candidates during hiring.

According to Vector, this product can help conduct an initial screening call with an unlimited number of candidates at any time of the day or week.

It works like this:

  • the hiring team makes its own list of questions it wants to ask the candidate;
  • AI Recruiter conducts a conversation: it understands the candidate’s answers and can ask clarifying questions to collect all the necessary information;
  • The team receives a prioritized list of candidates based on their own success criteria, as well as audio or video recordings, a transcript, and a brief summary of the conversation.

«The goal of AI Recruiter is to give every candidate a chance to be heard. Today, many candidates do not receive any feedback on their applications. The reason is the huge flow of people for each position, which is especially noticeable in North America and Europe, where recruiters physically do not have time to give everyone adequate and personalized feedback,» notes Yakiv Yusypenko.

Thus, such a Shi-interview allows the team to compress the screening process from weeks to a few days, as well as to obtain more information about the candidate before the first live conversation than his CV can convey, and to prioritize the strongest candidates.

The careeo.tech platform is aimed at a wide range of clients: from product companies with in-house teams of recruiters to recruiting agencies seeking to optimize processes for their customers.

The startup operates on a B2B SaaS model with a flexible subscription, the cost of which depends on the number of active vacancies. The Core tariff starts at $205, Advanced — from $255, Enterpruse — from $12,000.

Understanding that AI interview technology is still new to the Ukrainian market, the startup team is focusing on education and practical demonstration.

Candidates can now undergo such interviews for real vacancies at over 12 technology companies, including Headway Inc, SKELAR, Universe, Mate Academy, and others.

As dev.ua recently wrote, IT specialist Serhiy Alekseev has developed an AI platform that conducts mini-interviews, analyzes CVs, and generates ratings of candidates for a specific vacancy, saving recruiters up to 90% of their time on pre-screening.
