According to the analytics of the DOU publication, the highest paid specialists in IT management remain Engineering Managers — their median salary is $6,600.

Analysts note that the median salary of Engineering Managers stopped falling in the first half of 2025 and recovered to the level of 2023. Project Managers' salaries also began to grow, while in Product Management, on the contrary, there was a downward trend, both for experienced specialists and beginners.
According to the study, Engineering Managers have the most experience in IT management — about 14 years. The average experience of Head of Product and Program Managers is 12 years, Scrum Master — 11 years, Delivery manager — 10.
The median age of IT managers is 32; 41% of them are women. The largest number of women in IT management work in the positions of Project Managers (51%) and Scrum Masters (47%), and the smallest number are Engineering Managers (7%).
