The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for use in the army a new UB60D strike unmanned aviation complex. It was developed by the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company. The complex includes 250 FPV drones with built-in warheads and a ground control station.
This is reported on the company’s official Facebook page. The UB60D is built on the basis of a 60 mm fragmentation mine, which is integrated with the control system into a single body. This allows the drones to be used immediately without additional equipment, saving training time and reducing the workload on operators.
«The UB60D is a high-precision weapon, ideally adapted to the conditions of modern warfare. It does not require equipment with a warhead, therefore it is ready for immediate use,» said Vladyslav Belbas, General Director of Ukrainian Armored Vehicles.
According to him, the drones are designed to engage manpower and light armored vehicles. The complex has high mobility, is easily transported, quickly deployed, and does not require lengthy personnel training.
The first UB60D samples passed combat testing in January 2025 in the Pokrovsky direction near the settlement of Udachne. Currently, the drones are already being used in the interests of unmanned battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhia direction.
Ukrainian Armored Vehicles is a private defense company specializing in armored vehicles and unmanned solutions. In recent years, the company has significantly expanded its range of developments, in particular in the direction of FPV technologies.
