Zelensky also reported that last year Ukrainian manufacturers produced 2.2 million FPV drones + 100,000 long-range UAVs. «This year we will do even more,» Zelensky said.
According to him, Ukrainians also managed to produce a record number of artillery pieces — 154 units. Zelensky also emphasized that Ukraine currently needs another 20 Patriot air defense systems, and is also working on creating Ukrainian analogues of leading air defense systems, in particular, Patriot.
Zelensky added that last year Ukraine provided itself with 40% of its weapons. Another 30% was provided by European countries, another 30% by the United States, the Ukrainian president emphasized. This is money for weapons production. According to the president, this year Ukraine’s contribution to production will be «50%.»
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, Ukraine’s long-range missile already reaches 1,700 km. He emphasized that «this figure is only increasing.»
