As noted by Ukrinform, the head of state confirmed that the government’s guideline of «up to a thousand per day» remains in force, and the current plan is a step towards this level. He separately emphasized that the attacks on defense enterprises did not stop production: the damaged sites resumed work, although sometimes the serial production «sags» due to the loss of individual components.
«We believe that by the end of November, 600-800 interceptor drones will be produced per day. If nothing goes wrong. Because sometimes it comes not only for energy. But we have not lost a single type of long-range weapon,» the President said.
According to Zelensky, missile programs are also moving in parallel: Flamingo and Neptune are already being used. Detailed characteristics of other models (such as Palanytsia, Peklo, Ruta, Flamingo) are not publicly disclosed so as not to harm the manufacturers and units that use them. The effectiveness of these decisions, according to him, should be assessed based on the results of Ukrainian strikes in response to massive Russian attacks.
The context for increasing the production of interceptors was regular night raids by «Shaheeds» and mixed strikes, which force the Armed Forces of Ukraine to flexibly combine air defense means and cheaper platforms for destroying enemy UAVs. Since the beginning of autumn, the government and relevant departments have been systematically increasing the localization of critical nodes in order to be less dependent on imported components and to restore workshops faster after strikes.
Both state-owned enterprises and private manufacturers are involved in industrial cooperation. According to the President, their capacity allows for further scaling, provided there is a stable supply of electronics and secure logistics. The next stage, the government sees, is reaching the declared capacity of «up to a thousand per day» and synchronizing it with the production of missile weapons to enhance long-range capabilities.
