Ukrainian units have begun using ground-based unmanned platforms «Murakha-Mini» to transport equipment, provisions, and other property to the front line. The claimed payload is up to 250 kg.
According to a press release from the company «Robotized Complexes», «Murakha-Mini» is already operating in one of the divisions of the company of ground unmanned systems. For stable control, the drone is equipped with a Starlink terminal mounted on a mast together with a surveillance camera; this configuration provides a reliable communication channel in areas with a difficult radio environment. During one of the combat missions, the platform transported 150 kg of cargo and simultaneously pulled a six-meter sled with another drone and provisions, covering 16 km in one direction without malfunctions.
Structurally, «Murakha-Mini» is a compact electric tracked conveyor with dimensions of 1600×1100×1600 mm and a weight of 330 kg. The declared range is up to 40 km, the maximum speed is up to 15 km/h. The movement is provided by two electric motors of 1 kW each. Power is provided by lithium-iron-phosphate batteries with a capacity of 105 kWh with active cooling and heating of the batteries for operation at low temperatures. To increase the survivability of the power unit, temperature control systems for engines and batteries are provided.
The control and communication scheme supports several channels: ELRS, Ethernet for connecting radio networks such as Silvus and Starlink, as well as other solutions via the IP protocol. The mode of operation via a fiber optic cable is separately declared, it minimizes the risk of loss of control and reduces sensitivity to radio interference. The presence of towing capacity and a variable payload platform allows you to transport not only boxes with property, but also additional modules or auxiliary equipment.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about the ground robotic complex «Murakha» developed by the Ukrainian military-tech company «Robotized Complexes». The complex has already successfully passed combat tests at the front. Now it has been officially codified by the Ministry of Defense and allowed for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
