Apple to unveil new products and prepare a wave of Mac updates this spring
The company announced an offline presentation on March 4 and press events in New York, London, and Shanghai. Apple did not specify the list of announcements, but in the invitation it hinted at an experience format, i.e., intimate demonstrations of new products without the usual big show.
The company announced an offline presentation on March 4 and press events in New York, London, and Shanghai. Apple did not specify the list of announcements, but in the invitation it hinted at an experience format, i.e., intimate demonstrations of new products without the usual big show.
In the invitation, according to Bloomberg, Apple listed three locations and did not provide details about the program or broadcast. In previous years, the company has almost always held online presentations, so the lack of mention of a stream could mean betting on live hands-on sessions for media in different cities. Such invitations usually mean short demonstrations with the opportunity to test the devices immediately.
Apple is likely to continue its announcements in the coming weeks. Expected releases include updated MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, new iPad models, and the iPhone 17e as the next version of the «mid-range» iPhone. Separately, there is talk of a more affordable MacBook in several colors, which should expand the audience for Apple laptops, but there is no official confirmation of these plans.
The approach itself is also atypical: instead of a single venue in Cupertino, the company is spreading the presentation format to several markets at once. This may indicate that Apple will briefly present some of its new products, and release the rest in separate announcements after March 4.
Apple has often abandoned the «one big day» in recent years in favor of multiple launches throughout the season, with the first test devices for reviews appearing immediately after announcements.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how Apple sued Gelius Import Distribution LLC over the import of 1,500 Gelius Pro Capsule 4 wireless headphones into Ukraine, which, according to the American corporation, infringe on Apple’s trademark rights. The Kyiv Commercial Court has opened proceedings in the case.
