Every third specialist got into EPAM thanks to the EPAM Campus training programs. The company trained 500 juniors for itself. In 2024, more than 40 such programs were held, involving more than 400 production experts in teaching, and the number of graduates exceeded 3,500.

Thanks to training programs, more than 500 junior specialists joined the company this year, which is the largest figure among Ukrainian IT companies. For comparison, in 2023 this figure was 211.
The most common people joining the company were engineers (31%) in the fields of Java, JavaScript, and .Net, as well as data analysts (21%) and testers (21%).
EPAM does not hire juniors from the market.
Who is in the greatest demand?
In 2025, according to EPAM specialists, junior-level specialists in Data and Quality Engineering will be most in demand in the Ukrainian market.
If you look at what the candidates were interested in, it was Data, cloud services, and Frontend. Thousands of participants are building programs using Frontend and Python.
AWS Certification Training Program uses has been of constant interest over the past two years. It has helped prepare a large number of Ukrainians and contributed to the popularity of cloud environments. If we move away from specific areas, people who are ready to learn something new are always in demand.
What has changed in the candidate profile?
Changes in the profile of IT candidates: In 2022 and 2023, there was a significant number of newcomers interested in a career in IT. Now, most candidates who register for programs and individual events already have basic knowledge and skills. While the number of beginners has decreased, the number of those who already have a certain level and are eager to start working on projects as soon as possible has increased.
The candidate is also expected to possess soft skills (communication skills, presentation skills, conflict resolution skills), a very good level of English (B1 and above), and reasoned motivation.

The test result offers a list of recommended professions, but we advise you to check whether this direction is currently popular in the country, whether the compensation meets expectations, whether there are real vacancies. It has become clear that the transition will not be easy,» the EPAM Campus training center comments.
Geography
Today, EPAM is focused on candidates in Ukraine, with Kyiv and Lviv leading the way, but there has been a noticeable increase in registrations from Kharkiv compared to previous years. In total, over 40,000 users registered for training programs on the Campus training portal over the year.
The company continues its traditional projects and internships for high school students, students, and educators interested in technology and the IT sector. Many educational initiatives have been implemented in Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Uzhhorod. The company was joined by veterans, participants in the first batch of the special program «IT for veterans.»
Plans for 2025
The ambitious plans for 2025 include preparing and transferring 800 graduates of the EPAM Campus educational programs to projects.
Despite the unpredictable conditions, Campus plans to expand its areas of expertise in 2025, including mobile development and Performance Optimization, as well as upgrading Rubi and PHP. The company hopes that approximately 800 Ukrainians will join the team at EPAM in 2025.

AI in action
