UPD. Frontline has attracted investment from Quantum Systems and is increasing drone production in Ukraine

The new stage of strategic cooperation between the Ukrainian company Frontline and the German-Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Quantum Systems involves deeper integration into the European defense market and scaling up domestic production.
As stated in the official Frontline press release, Quantum Systems has acquired a 10% stake in the Ukrainian company with the right to increase it to 25% within a year. This investment paves the way for technological synergies between the partners, in particular the integration of European components into robotic systems manufactured in Ukraine.
Frontline has already begun adapting its systems to new standards, which will improve its effectiveness on the battlefield. Its products — the Linza drone bomber, the Zoom reconnaissance copter, and the Burya grenade launcher turret — have been codified according to NATO standards and are used in over 40 units of the Defense Forces.
The signing of the agreement was preceded by a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership, which the parties concluded in April 2025 within the framework of the Brave1 defense cluster. In the same environment, Frontline successfully conducted a seed round: in six months, the startup raised $800,000 from Nezlamni, Startup Wise Guys, Angel One, Freedom Fund, and a number of private investors.
According to Quantum Systems co-founder Florian Seibel, the companies aim not only to supply modern equipment, but also to establish its full-scale production in Ukraine. This is the first such attempt to create a single industrial platform for defense cooperation between Ukraine and the EU.
Quantum Systems specializes in vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) drones that combine artificial intelligence, on-board data processing, and real-time autonomous analytics. The company has offices in Germany, the United States, Australia, Romania, and Ukraine.
Frontline, founded in August 2023, focuses on ground and air defense and assault solutions. The startup team has deep experience in developing technologies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2014. Today, it is expanding production, including as part of an initiative to import Chinese quadcopters.
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov noted that the agreement is an example of how defense companies in Ukraine are able to combine pace, flexibility, and technological sophistication. It is thanks to combat experience and a rapid innovation cycle that Ukraine is becoming an attractive hub for international cooperation in the field of defense tech.
We previously wrote about how German drone manufacturing company Quantum-Systems builds its recently introduced Twister reconnaissance drones at its facilities in Ukraine.
UPD as of July 17. According to Forbes Ukraine, Quantum-Systems' investment in Frontline may reach $1 million.
This was reported by a source close to Frontline. It is alleged that the startup’s valuation could be up to $10 million. Frontline refused to comment on these figures.
Oleksandr Berezhnyi, director of Quantum-Systems' Ukrainian division, said that the investment was made «on market terms, taking into account revenue, contracts, growth rates and scaling potential».
