GigRadar, a technology company founded by Ukrainians and now with an office in the US, announced its second acquisition in 2025 — one of the most influential freelance communities in Ukraine — Top Rated Club (TRC).
For GigRadar, this is a move that complements its previous acquisition of AI startup Upsky .
TRC was established in 2022 and has quickly become a place where over 1,000 Ukrainian freelancers and agency owners on Upwork find support, share experiences, and develop their careers. Upwork officially recognized TRC in its article “Building Community and Earning Income in Wartime” as an example of the strength and leadership of the Ukrainian freelance community.
"We started this year with the acquisition of Upsky, which strengthened our technology side. Now we are moving further - adding a human dimension. TRC is proof that Ukrainians continue to build and unite even when the whole world is amazed at their resilience," says Vadym Ovcharenko, CEO of GigRadar.
The merger with TRC will allow GigRadar to create a new direction — Community & Academy, where freelancers and agencies can learn, share experiences, and develop careers.
Combined with the AI capabilities it gained from the Upsky integration, GigRadar becomes a complete ecosystem for freelancers to grow on Upwork. The company combines analytics, automation, and human connections — and it’s already showing results: GigRadar users have generated over $45 million in contracts on Upwork, and demand for AI solutions and educational programs continues to grow.
Ukrainians created AI-Copilot for Upwork. It is already used by Kyivstar and over 150 other businesses. How does such a tool work and does it really speed up the search for orders?
